Healthy Nutritional Tip for Thanksgiving

It is so hard to believe another Thanksgiving is around the corner. I love this time of year, spending time with friends and family. Most of all I love enjoying the home cooked Thanksgiving meal. However, the goal for most people is not to overeat while trying to enjoy the delicious selection of food. I have a tip that has worked for me for years now. Whenever you are getting ready to attend a Thanksgiving meal, pick a pair of pants that fit nice. Try not to wear sweatpants, loose pants, or stretch pants. With wearing pants that fit perfectly this ables you to know when you are fool. Knowing you are fool is a great way not to overeat. Also, usually when I take a big "sigh" that means it is time to stop. I trust this tip helps everyone this Thanksgiving. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

  1. It is pretty hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. It seems like the holidays come faster and faster each year. Could be just because I'm getting older and every holiday to me is just another year older. Anyways lol, I do enjoy Thanksgiving and getting the chance to enjoy family :) I really don't think I over eat but your tips are valid and really reasonable. I love the men who eat and then loosen their belt only to eat more. You would think that would be a sure sign to stop eating! Maybe they just don't care! Have a nice holiday!

  2. That is a grat tip! People think they are still hungry when actually they are full. Thats why people gain weight. Another tip before eating is drinking 16 ounces of water. This will help you eat less and you will feal full a lot faster. Happy Thanksgiving to all !!!

  3. Wow, this is a creative idea. Its interesting how much people over eat, because if you think about it, they can eat just the same amount every other day. However, by just saying that it is a special day, people feel as though its alright to over eat. IT is a holidy, and special events call for special food, but the "pants" way is creative. It really allows people to eat, but reminds them that they still need to be carful about their health. Awesome job, feel free to let us know some other great tips!

  4. Thanksgiving has come up on us really fast this year! This is a great time of the year when we get together with family members and friends. But you're right, this is the time of year when many people overeat. I'm guilty of it myself. Those are some great tips to help with overeating, but for me I say it's only a once a year, and I'm going to enjoy it. Then I run a lot over the next few days. Maybe it's not a good strategy, but it works for me.

  6. I just had my second ever Thanksgiving and ate so much. I never knew how much food was actually eaten during thanksgiving but I cant complain. I loved every bit about it. Last year I went to my uncle's house in Boston for it and it was just a quiet meal with his family. This year however I went to a friends house and it was full with her family and extended family. It's a really cool holiday that I wish Ireland would celebrate but I guess we didnt really have any pilgrims ha.
